EcoToys appoints Asobi - 10th June 2009

Eco friendly toy company Asobi is growing fast. The latest company to join their band wagon is the aptly named Italian toy manufacturer EcoToys Srl.

EcoToys is the exclusive manufacturer of the activity product line, Happy Mais. Happy Mais is made from Mater-Bi, a natural GM-free corn starch material that is 100% biodegradeable and compostable.

The play pattern is model building, without glue or magnets! Just moisten a piece of Happy Mais and it will magically stick to another piece. It can also be stuck to paper, glass and wood. It can be pulled apart and used again. It can be cut to form different shapes, although Happy Mais benefits from having 3 different shapes; competitive products have only one.

The Happy Mais range initially consists of 10 SKUs, with retail prices starting at just £3.50 and half the range retailing under £10. Happy Mais is available for delivery from early July 2009.

As Asobi MD, Thierry Bourret, points out, "not only is this line green but it is highly educational too. It is the ideal profile for the Asobi line."
